I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but have lived in Portland, Oregon, since 1992. I purchased my first home in 1994 in the NE Portland neighborhood of King (now Alberta Arts). This neighborhood was still in major transition and the house was a heavy fixer so it turned out to be an incredible investment. I sold that home in 2006 to move into a condo in the Pearl District with my partner (now husband) Pete. We started buying multiplexes in 2008 and now own 8 units in Concordia/Alberta, Sellwood, and Irvington. We have moved a few times, even living in the owner’s unit at our Irvington duplex for a couple of years. We have now settled into a townhome in the emerging Slabtown neighborhood in NW Portland. Also, in 2005, I built a vacation home in Rockaway Beach, Oregon, with my kids’ moms. I love all of our properties for different but complementary reasons – urban living keeps me active, rental property allows for eventual retirement, and part-time coastal living keeps me relaxed – spending more time there is a goal for retirement!
I’ve been a REALTOR in Portland since 2007. Prior to getting my real estate license, I worked in sales and marketing at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, in publicity at Multnomah County Library, and was the Chief Financial Officer for a small, educational non-profit organization based in Salem, Oregon.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the University of Cincinnati. I received my real estate license from ProSchools in Portland, Oregon. I attend continuing education courses weekly so I can stay on top of the ever-changing real estate industry.
Real Estate Awards
Every year since 2011, I’ve received the Five Star Real Estate Agent Award based on exceptional satisfaction ratings from agents, lenders, title companies and most importantly, from my clients. Only 7% of Portland agents receive this honor!
I live with my very supportive husband, Pete, who is a physician at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. I am the father of two growing young men, Jake and Roan. We have two Pulis (Hungarian sheepdogs) named Hugo and Otto. These guys always keep me on my toes! We spend a lot of time finding new and interesting things to do in our neighborhood, throughout Portland, and around the world. Pete and I are also on a never-ending quest to improve our tennis games and find the perfect happy hour.
